Tendring Ramblers is part of a footpath scheme: Essex Parish Path Adopters. Volunteers choose a Parish local to them where they agree to walk all the paths in it at least once a year, reporting any faults found. There are 28 Parishes in Tendring, of which 16 have been adopted by at least one volunteer.
As at 2nd October 2024, the twelve for which adopters are sought are:
| Alresford | Great Bromley | Thorrington |
| Bradfield | Great Clacton | Weeley |
| Elmstead | Little Oakley | Wix |
| Frating | St. Osyth | Wrabness |

We have PPA 'Parish Focus’ days where some of us get together in order to walk the footpaths in one of Tendring's unadopted parishes. Several have been so walked during 2024,
There is a link for Tendring. Click here on this link and you will be able to see details of who has adopted which Parishes in Tendring. You can also click the Parish names and see individual Parish path maps and descriptions, which display on smartphones as well as on computers.
